This option adds a filter driver for libusb the existing driver for the Laser cutter controller board. If you have other hardware that uses this chip the other hardware may also not work with the libusb driver is installed. The interface hardware in the controller board (CH341) is also used in other hardware (e.g. This will change your computer settings in a way that the original software for running the laser cutter will not work (unless you remove the libusb driver). This option replaces the existing driver for the laser cutter controller board. In Zadig change the driver selection to "libusb-win32(v1.2.6.0)"ĭecide if you are going to use option 7a. The correct name will not appear in the list until after the default driver loads. If it is the first time plugging your laser cutter into the computer it may take some time for the default driver to load. In the Zadig dropdown menu find and select the item "USB-EPP/I2C. These dependencies are resolved on windows by packaging them in the pre-compiled executable version of K40 Whisperer. However there are a lot of dependencies that need to be satisfied in order to successfully use the program. K40 Whisperer is written in python so it is possible to run it on Windows, Linux and Mac. However you will need to install a USB driver in order for K40 Whisperer to communicate with the stock K40 controller board (i.e. In order to make using K40 Whisperer as simple as possible I release pre-compiled windows executable files that do not require installation for them to run. If that IS the issue, I'm at a loss on how to fix it. And when I try and "Restore EEPROM" on the radio side, the radio freezes. When I try the same with a totally blank page in the companion, it fails and freezes on the same screen. It must be corrupted or something. When trying to "write to radio" from the companion with the EEPROM backup, it fails and the radio freezes on the "USB connected" screen.
The main thing I've noticed that is consistently failing is EEPROM. Both STM32 and DFU_ mean the driver is good. And I saw that sometimes it says DFU-mode something as the driver, but the sites I was looking at earlier were saying sometimes it's either one. Yes, it does let me flash FW through the computer. One way to test if the Zadig driver is properly install, can you get a FC into DFU mode and flash? If yes, then the driver is correct. I believe you should see something like DFU mode.
